Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter Landscape With River by Maurice Galbraith Cullen was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CAD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of CAD 15,600.00 (€ 12,073.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Maurice Galbraith Cullen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter Break Up in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 106,000.00 (€ 82,037.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Winter Landscape With River von Maurice Galbraith Cullen kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in Toronto zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CAD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CAD 15.600,00 (€ 12.073,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
