Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work California Landscape by Maurice Braun for USD 4,864.00 (€ 4,459.11). This price was achieved in the auction California Art at Bonhams in Edinburgh and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Braun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eucalyptus Trees in the Mist in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 127,000.00 (€ 149,658.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit California Landscape von Maurice Braun für USD 4.864,00 (€ 4.459,11) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice Braun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eucalyptus Trees in the Mist im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 127.000,00 (€ 149.658,26).
