The »bidding war« ended at EUR 260.00 30% above the estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mauno Mattila - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cranes., which sold at auction in March 2011 for EUR 640.00.

Die Arbeit Cranes von Mauno Mattila wurde im Oktober 2010 in der Auktion Collector auction, Helsinki 6 OCTOBER (11 CET) F154 bei Bukowski in Helsinki versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 260,00 und damit 30% über dem Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Mauno Mattila mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cranes. beobachtet, die im März 2011 für EUR 640,00 versteigert wurde.
