This artwork by Mathys Schoevaerdts achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in November 2021. In the Old Master & 19th Century Art auction, the work Scène De Marché sold for EUR 31,200.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mathys Schoevaerdts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A coastal scene with drovers and their herds and travellers in horse-drawn carts on a path, a harbour with shipping beyond; and An estuary with peasants in boats and along the shore, a town and shipping beyond; a pair in January 2000 with an auction result of USD 299,500.00 (€ 306,959.11).

In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit Scène De Marché für EUR 31.200,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00.
