In March 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer, which included the work ‘I’Ll Always Remember Where I Was When I Slept Through Obama’S Victory’ by Matthew Pritchett. The auction ended at the price of GBP 500.00 (€ 569.28), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthew Pritchett - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work ‘Twenty Years Ago My Husband Was Rushing Home To Watch The Fall Of The Berlin Wall On Tv...’, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,423.19).

Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer durch, in der auch die Arbeit ‘I’Ll Always Remember Where I Was When I Slept Through Obama’S Victory’ von Matthew Pritchett zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 500,00 (€ 569,28) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00.
