Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Donatella Horowitz by Mati Klarwein was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2012. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,477.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mati Klarwein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Marilyn Monroe), which sold at auction in April 2014 for USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,715.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Donatella Horowitz von Mati Klarwein kam im Februar 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.477,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mati Klarwein mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Marilyn Monroe) beobachtet, die im April 2014 für USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.715,93) versteigert wurde.
