A top price for Masunobu - as previously expected
The work Autumn Grasses by Masunobu was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in September 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,506.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Autumn Grasses is the most expensive artwork by Masunobu that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Autumn Grasses von Masunobu kam im September 2021 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 5.506,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Autumn Grasses das teuerste Kunstwerk von Masunobu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
