Auction result misses estimated price range

In May 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Profile of Christ by Master of the Emerald Icons for GBP 376.00 (€ 588.82). This price was achieved in the auction British and Victorian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Master of the Emerald Icons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Profile of Christ in March 2002 with an auction result of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,881.22).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im Mai 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Profile of Christ von Master of the Emerald Icons für GBP 376,00 (€ 588,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Victorian Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Master of the Emerald Icons auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Profile of Christ im März 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.881,22).
