Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three studies for the Birth of the Virgin with subsidiary studies of the principal figures by Massimo Stanzione was sold in the Master Drawings from the Oppé Collection auction at Christies in London in December 2006. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,904.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Massimo Stanzione achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madonna And Child in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 305,000.00 (€ 225,925.93).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.904,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Massimo Stanzione erzielen.
