A top price for Masanao Shinzan - as previously expected
The work A wood netsuke of Kiyohime by Masanao Shinzan was sold in the Fine Chinese & Japanese Works of Art Part II auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 834.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A wood netsuke of Kiyohime is the most expensive artwork by Masanao Shinzan that we have observed at auctions so far.
