Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale), which included this untitled work by Masakatsu Tagami. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,213.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Masakatsu Tagami have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2008 the work without title was auctioned for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 8,747.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Masakatsu Tagami zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.213,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Masakatsu Tagami konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2008 die Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 8.747,19) versteigert.
