Despite a disappointment, a good price for Maryam Shirinlou
When the work The Road To Which I Came by Maryam Shirinlou was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,576.62). Despite this disappointing result, The Road To Which I Came is the most expensive artwork by Maryam Shirinlou that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit The Road To Which I Came von Maryam Shirinlou im Juni 2019 bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.402,50 (€ 1.576,62) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist The Road To Which I Came das teuerste Kunstwerk von Maryam Shirinlou, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
