Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mary Ethel Young Hunter could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian & Edwardian Art auction, the work The Bow In The Cloud changed hands for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,220.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mary Ethel Young Hunter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Once Upon A Time in December 2008 with an auction result of GBP 28,750.00 (€ 30,195.87).
