It achieved a price of SEK 360,000.00 (€ 35,489.53), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. Admittedly, works by Martinus Rørbye have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work “Et stort skib under kalfatring ved Frederikshavn” in March this year with an auction result of DKK 1,200,000.00 (€ 161,037.53).

Die Arbeit "Parti af et kapucinerkloster i Rom" von Martinus Rørbye wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Important Spring Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 360.000,00 (€ 35.489,53) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martinus Rørbye auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit “Et stort skib under kalfatring ved Frederikshavn” im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 1.200.000,00 (€ 161.037,53).
