A top price for Martin Verstappen - as previously expected
In April 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters, which included the work A View Of The Waterfalls At Terni With Figures In The Foreground by Martin Verstappen. The price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 20,772.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A View Of The Waterfalls At Terni With Figures In The Foreground is the most expensive artwork by Martin Verstappen that we have observed at auctions so far.
