Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Martin Engelbrecht could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Interior Scenes: Two Plates changed hands for USD 597.50 (€ 481.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Engelbrecht achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cartouche Designs in June 2013 with an auction result of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,206.00).
