Auction result misses estimated price range

When the work A peacock, chickens, a jay and other birds by a barn; and Chicken, ducks and pigeons by a wall in a river landscape by Marmaduke Cradock was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2004, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 14,340.00 (€ 21,342.22). Other works by Marmaduke Cradock have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2004 by the work Ducks on a river; and Peacock, Turkey and Chickens on a riverbank at GBP 23,900.00 (€ 35,570.36).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Als die Arbeit A peacock, chickens, a jay and other birds by a barn; and Chicken, ducks and pigeons by a wall in a river landscape von Marmaduke Cradock im Juni 2004 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
