Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2003 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES, which included the work Cattle watering in a river landscape by William Mark Fisher. The price achieved of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,373.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Mark Fisher - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Milking time, which sold at auction in September 2001 for GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,382.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cattle watering in a river landscape von William Mark Fisher zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.373,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von William Mark Fisher mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Milking time beobachtet, die im September 2001 für GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.382,74) versteigert wurde.
