Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (loose piece), 1987 by Mark di Suvero. The price achieved of USD 35,655.00 (€ 33,837.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark di Suvero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tumbleweed II (Joint) in October 2020 with an auction result of EUR 548,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (loose piece), 1987 von Mark di Suvero zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.655,00 (€ 33.837,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark di Suvero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tumbleweed II (Joint) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 548.000,00.
