Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work Soap, 1978 by Mark Adams. The price achieved of USD 1,657.50 (€ 1,475.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Adams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pink Hydranga, 1995 in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 9,562.50 (€ 8,259.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Soap, 1978 von Mark Adams zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.657,50 (€ 1.475,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Adams auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pink Hydranga, 1995 im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.562,50 (€ 8.259,91).
