Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hopper, a chestnut hunter by Marjorie Cox was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2000. The price achieved of GBP 235.00 (€ 384.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marjorie Cox - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study of the Jack Russell 'Benny', which sold at auction in July 2009 for GBP 750.00 (€ 851.03).
