Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Trees Near the Arroyo by Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel for USD 2,422.50 (€ 2,194.29). This price was achieved in the auction California Art at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sycamores in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 72,812.50 (€ 61,705.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Trees Near the Arroyo von Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel für USD 2.422,50 (€ 2.194,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sycamores im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.812,50 (€ 61.705,51).
