The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,320.00 (€ 7,675.98), 66% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sycamores in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 72,812.50 (€ 61,705.51).

Die Arbeit Landscape with Trees von Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.320,00 (€ 7.675,98) und damit 66% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sycamores im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.812,50 (€ 61.705,51).
