Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September last year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction American Works of Art, which included the work Albany View from Tireali Acres by Marion Huse. The »bidding war« ended at USD 701.25 (€ 716.80), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Marion Huse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vermont Hills in Summer in September last year with an auction result of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,649.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion American Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Albany View from Tireali Acres von Marion Huse zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 701,25 (€ 716,80) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marion Huse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vermont Hills in Summer im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.649,19).
