Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Al fiume by Mario Ornati was auctioned at Il Ponte in June 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 500.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 400.00. Admittedly, works by Mario Ornati have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scorcio con campanile in October 2014 with an auction result of EUR 2,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Al fiume von Mario Ornati im Juni 2020 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 400,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Ornati auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scorcio con campanile im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.200,00.
