Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mario Lasalandra could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Masterworks of Italian Photography 1945-1975 From the Collection of Paolo Morello auction, the work Regina (Queen), 2002 changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,321.70) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Mario Lasalandra have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2012 by the work Spaventapasseri (Scarecrow), 1968 at GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,643.39).
