Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Spiaggia 1950 ca. by Mario de Biasi was auctioned at Il Ponte in December 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario de Biasi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Milano, Piazza Duomo, 1951 in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 29,408.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Spiaggia 1950 ca. von Mario de Biasi im Dezember 2019 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 300,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario de Biasi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Milano, Piazza Duomo, 1951 im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 29.408,15).
