Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A view of Katwijk; A view of Noordwijk by Marinus Johannes Drulman was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 900.00 – 1,400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 822.50. Admittedly, works by Marinus Johannes Drulman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Activities in Rotterdam harbour in January 2006 with an auction result of EUR 3,840.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A view of Katwijk; A view of Noordwijk von Marinus Johannes Drulman im September 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 900,00 – 1.400,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 822,50 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marinus Johannes Drulman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Activities in Rotterdam harbour im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.840,00.
