In March 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries', which included the work A Sunny Day In The Harbour by Marinus de Jongere. The price achieved of EUR 2,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Other works by Marinus de Jongere have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2007 the work The Rotterdam Harbour was auctioned for EUR 3,600.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden.
