This artwork by Marie Vassilieff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2021. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work Vase au Chat sold for GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,545.89) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marie Vassilieff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nu in April 2021 with an auction result of EUR 680,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Marie Vassilieff erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Vase au Chat für GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.545,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marie Vassilieff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nu im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 680.000,00.
