Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rocky Landscape, Northern Spain by Marie Vassilieff was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 37,343.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marie Vassilieff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nu in April 2021 with an auction result of EUR 680,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rocky Landscape, Northern Spain von Marie Vassilieff kam im Dezember 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 37.343,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marie Vassilieff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nu im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 680.000,00.
