Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Saint by Marie Vassilieff was sold in the Russian Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2011. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,148.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marie Vassilieff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nu in April 2021 with an auction result of EUR 680,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Saint von Marie Vassilieff wurde im Juni 2011 in der Auktion Russian Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.148,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marie Vassilieff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nu im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 680.000,00.
