This artwork by Mari Kim achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2018. In the Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition auction, the work Snow White and Red Bag sold for USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,640.10) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mari Kim; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Gabriel Chanel sold at auction in September 2019 with the realized price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,755.16).
