Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work The Three Sisters (After Tchechov) by Mari Andriessen for EUR 1,875.00. This price was achieved in the auction Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries' at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mari Andriessen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Design For Anne Frank, Standing, which sold at auction in March 2009 for EUR 4,750.00.
