This artwork by Marguerite Gérard achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in June 2010. In the Old Masters and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings auction, the work Portrait De Jean-Honoré Fragonard sold for EUR 300,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Marguerite Gérard; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot La Toilette De Minette sold at auction in June 2017 with the realized price of EUR 415,500.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Marguerite Gérard erzielte im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Portrait De Jean-Honoré Fragonard für EUR 300.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Marguerite Gérard; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit La Toilette De Minette im Juni 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 415.500,00.
