Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Marco Pino achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2007. In the Old Master Drawings auction, the work The Baptism Of Christ sold for GBP 36,000.00 (€ 53,468.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marco Pino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Martyrdom Of St John The Evangelist, which sold at auction in January 2008 for USD 205,000.00 (€ 138,130.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marco Pino erzielte im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Drawings wurde die Arbeit The Baptism Of Christ für GBP 36.000,00 (€ 53.468,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Marco Pino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Martyrdom Of St John The Evangelist beobachtet, die im Januar 2008 für USD 205.000,00 (€ 138.130,85) versteigert wurde.
