Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Marco Grubas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2004. In the British and Continental Watercolours including Original auction, the work The Doge's Palace and the Piazzetta, San Giorgio Maggiore beyond sold for GBP 1,912.00 (€ 2,889.45) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Marco Grubas; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Along the Grand Canal, Venice sold at auction in March 2000 with the realized price of USD 4,600.00 (€ 4,804.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marco Grubas erzielte im Juli 2004 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours including Original wurde die Arbeit The Doge's Palace and the Piazzetta, San Giorgio Maggiore beyond für GBP 1.912,00 (€ 2.889,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Marco Grubas; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Along the Grand Canal, Venice im März 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 4.600,00 (€ 4.804,68).
