In October 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Masters Online, which included the work Piazza San Marco By Moonlight, Venice by Marco Grubacs. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,529.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Marco Grubacs have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2018 the work Piazza San Marco By Moonlight, Venice was auctioned for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,694.05).
