In November 2019 Christies in London held the auction China Trade Paintings: Selections from the Kelton Collection, which included the work The Praya Grande, Macao by Marciano Antonio Baptista. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,476.35), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marciano Antonio Baptista - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Matheson's Point. Jardine Matheson & Co.'s godowns and offices at East Point, Hong Kong, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 29,723.44).

Im November 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion China Trade Paintings: Selections from the Kelton Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Praya Grande, Macao von Marciano Antonio Baptista zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.476,35) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Marciano Antonio Baptista mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Matheson's Point. Jardine Matheson & Co.'s godowns and offices at East Point, Hong Kong beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 29.723,44) versteigert wurde.
