Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Christies in London held the auction The Robin and Rupert Hambro Collection, which included the work Joueur de balafon by Marcelle Ackein. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 56,700.00 (€ 65,989.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marcelle Ackein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Souk Aux Tapis À Marrakech, Circa 1921, which sold at auction in December 2021 for MAD 2,080,000.00 (€ 196,642.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion The Robin and Rupert Hambro Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Joueur de balafon von Marcelle Ackein zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 56.700,00 (€ 65.989,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Marcelle Ackein mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Souk Aux Tapis À Marrakech, Circa 1921 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für MAD 2.080.000,00 (€ 196.642,52) versteigert wurde.
