In December 2002 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Carga árabe by Marcelino de Unceta y Lopez. The price achieved of GBP 14,340.00 (€ 22,012.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Carga árabe is the most expensive artwork by Marcelino de Unceta y Lopez that we have observed at auctions so far.
