Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work We Knew He Was Sleeping by Marcel Dzama for GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,893.66). This price was achieved in the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online at Christies in Brussels and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Dzama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Later the Delights of Damnation Will be More Profound in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,462.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit We Knew He Was Sleeping von Marcel Dzama für GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.893,66) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in Brüssel erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Dzama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Later the Delights of Damnation Will be More Profound im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.462,71).
