Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Four works: (i) Lovers; (ii–iii) Untitled; (iv) Was kostet der Eintritt? by Marcel Dzama was auctioned at Phillips in 17 - in July this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,445.00 (€ 4,033.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Marcel Dzama have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Later the Delights of Damnation Will be More Profound in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,462.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Four works: (i) Lovers; (ii–iii) Untitled; (iv) Was kostet der Eintritt? von Marcel Dzama kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 17 - zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.445,00 (€ 4.033,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcel Dzama auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Later the Delights of Damnation Will be More Profound im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.462,71).
