Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Double-sided work: (i-ii) Why is the Dove Never Free by Marcel Dzama was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction auction at Phillips in 17 - in July this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,159.00 (€ 1,959.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Dzama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Later the Delights of Damnation Will be More Profound in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,462.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Double-sided work: (i-ii) Why is the Dove Never Free von Marcel Dzama wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction bei Phillips in 17 - versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.159,00 (€ 1.959,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Dzama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Later the Delights of Damnation Will be More Profound im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.462,71).
