Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2008 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Horse) by Maqbool Fida Husain. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 70,850.00 (€ 89,556.78), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maqbool Fida Husain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,082,500.00 (€ 1,526,311.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Horse) von Maqbool Fida Husain zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 70.850,00 (€ 89.556,78) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maqbool Fida Husain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.082.500,00 (€ 1.526.311,41).
