Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Letter To Zhang Zitao by Mao Kun. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 88,200.00 (€ 9,443.19). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mao Kun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Cursive Script in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 173,000.00 (€ 125,571.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Letter To Zhang Zitao von Mao Kun zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 88.200,00 (€ 9.443,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mao Kun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems In Cursive Script im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 173.000,00 (€ 125.571,60).
