Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (head), 1988 by Manuel Neri was sold in the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,680.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manuel Neri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 289,000.00 (€ 196,759.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (head), 1988 von Manuel Neri wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 9.680,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manuel Neri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 289.000,00 (€ 196.759,26).
