Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Coming in Last Thursday, 1981/1987 by Manuel Neri was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 68,825.00 (€ 61,281.28) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manuel Neri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 289,000.00 (€ 196,759.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Coming in Last Thursday, 1981/1987 von Manuel Neri kam im Juni 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 68.825,00 (€ 61.281,28) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Manuel Neri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 289.000,00 (€ 196.759,26) versteigert wurde.
