Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Woman with Raised Arms and Crouching Woman (Two Works) by Manolo was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,655.92). Admittedly, works by Manolo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jeune catalane in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 8,750.00.
