Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Pregnant Lady by Maliheh Afnan for GBP 14,000.00 (€ 16,313.64). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Maliheh Afnan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Iranian lady With A Hat in April 2016 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 79,893.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Pregnant Lady von Maliheh Afnan für GBP 14.000,00 (€ 16.313,64) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maliheh Afnan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Iranian lady With A Hat im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 79.893,58).
